Here are some examples: A fire alarm will cause the security system to call the monitoring station to dispatch the fire department. The HomeLogic solution can also: • make a call to your cell phone and send an email in case you aren't there • flash the outside lights to help the fire department find your house • turn on inside lights at low illumination (to prevent night blindness) so your family can see • turn off the forced hot air system to prevent smoke from circulating You’re leaving for an extended vacation, and as you prepare to leave you tap the 'Vacation' button on the In-Wall Touch Screen in your bedroom. The HomeLogic system then will: • set all thermostats to ‘Vacation’ mode, changing all the schedules to save you money • start the 'Vacation' lighting schedule to simulate at-home lighting inside while you are away You've left and are half-way to the airport when you realize that you forgot to set your house into 'Vacation' mode. Just call your home from a cell phone and, following a couple of prompts, place your home in 'Vacation' mode.
